Profile Born in Katerini in 1975, Dimitris Bakas studied composition with Theodore Antoniou. In 2004 he moved to London for further studies in composition at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he was awarded an MMus and an PhD, under the supervision of Roger Redgate. Since 2009 he is a shortlist composer at Sound and Music. Currently (since October 2010), Bakas is a visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York where he is completing a Post Doctoral Research.
