Profile John has studied composition and received a masters in composition at the University of Kentucky under American composer Joseph Baber, who in turn, studied with Howard Hanson and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. John`s original and yet unpublished work for solo guitar "Variations and Fantasia on a Theme by John Dowland" won the Toronto "Guitar 87" Quest For New Music Procan award in 1987.
