Profile Michael Bies is a pianist, composer and educator located in West Palm Beach, Florida. He currently teaches over 30 private piano students and takes on accompanimental duties for area schools while performing in solo recitals as well. Michael recieved two masters degrees from the State University of New York at Fredonia in both performance and composition studying there with composers Karl Boelter and Donald Bohlen. His principal teachers in piano include Phyllis East and Sean Duggan. He has written works for voice, small and large chamber ensembles, orchestra and solo pieces as well.
