Profile	After initial training as a flautist at the R.C.M and in Paris, I spent a number of years as Assistant Principal Flute in the Hallé Orchestra. Since leaving the Hallé to further composition studies I have completed Mus.M. and Ph.D degrees in composition at Manchester University. I have also remained active as a freelance flautist and chamber musician with orchestras in the N.W. U.K. and Trio Fauve and Free Trade Winds wind quintet.
