Stop Mute Horn Sound Samples

     Stop Mute
Select Octave:

The stop mute is a mute which imitates the sound of hand stopping. It produces a sound slightly quiter than with the hand, but unlike hand-stopping, is available over the full range of the instrument.

The notes shown are actual sound. In the horn part they should be written a fifth higher. The usual top note is F written C, but our horn player did say a G and A are found in one or two classical pieces, but are almost impossible!
