Details: Kassia Music seeks 1 to 2 new chamber music pieces to perform on the final concert of this year’s season at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in the DC area, April 25, 2020.

Works can be for any subset of the ensemble performing on the April 25 concert (2 violins, viola, cello, and piano). Winner(s) will receive $250 and a professional recording of the performance. We are looking for ongoing collaborations!

To submit a work, please email PDF’s of the score/parts and link (via Google Drive, youtube, etc.) to an audio recording (if available) by November 22, 2019 to info@kassiamusic.org and pay the $10 submission fee via PayPal to the same email or through the following link: paypal.me/kassiamusic

You may submit a recording of one additional work (in any instrumentation) to give us a better idea of your compositional style. This additional recording is optional.

​We will notify all entrants by January 31, 2020.

About Kassia Music: We play a range of repertoire, including music by two member-composers. We’ve made appearances at the Kennedy Center, the National Gallery of Art and the National Music Festival and won the Levine/WPA Misbin Chamber Music competition. We like to mix old and new, and our first season in residence at the Church of the Redeemer features concerts of Baroque/neo-Baroque, Classical/neo-Classical and Romantic/neo-Romantic.
