DEADLINE: AUGUST 6, 2018 Application Fee: $10 Juventas New Music Ensemble seeks chamber music and art songs by LGBTQ+ composers. The selected works will be performed by Juventas New Music Ensemble at our concert Pride: Hand-in-Hand, June 1, 2019 at First Church Boston. The program will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which marked the beginning of the modern gay rights movement. Works related to themes of love, LGBTQ+ rights and history, and equality are especially encouraged. Eligibility: Any composer who identifies as both: 1. An emerging composer at the early stages of their career 2. LGBTQ+ and/or gender-non-conforming We believe that diversity of experience contributes to a broader collective perspective that will consistently lead to a more fulfilling musical and artistic experience. We are working hard to increase the diversity of our programs and encourage all races and genders to submit. Compositions may be for any subset of the following instruments: • Soprano singer • Flute (including piccolo & alto flute) • Clarinet (including Eb, Bb, and bass clarinet) • Horn in F - especially encouraged! • 2 Violins • Viola • Cello • Piano • Percussion For more information contact: info@juventasmusic.com Submission Process: 1.
