Summary:Collaborative residency

Details: We are seeking up to 10 outstanding creatives of all persuasions, from visual arts to dance, music to photography, architecture to geographers, urbanists and anthropologists…

UKYA Cornish Weekender 13-16th April at Porthmeor Studios is the second of a suite of micro residencies run in partnership with artist spaces across the UK, the first being held in Blackpool in 2017 with Abingdon Studios. Working with Curator Claudio Zecchi, selected artists can immerse themselves in the stunning town of St Ives and participate in dialogues, activities and projections to explore the rich artistic and historic community. The prestigious Grade II listed Porthmeor Studios has previously been home to artists such as Patrick Heron, Julius Olsson, Ben Nicholson and Francis Bacon.

What are we looking for:

Artists with a commitment to developing their practice, and who seek dialogue and engagement with the wider international contemporary arts and cultural sector

Artists with an interest in how collaborative working can inform the development of their work and how this residency will benefit their practice

This is a fully funded residency - travel, accommodation and food will be provided by UKYA. Artists must be aged between 18-30 on the deadline for submissions (Monday 26 February).

To apply, please download the callout pack and complete the mandatory application form and equal opportunities form. You are also required to submit a CV and documentation of your work. See the pack for full details.
