Ghost Ensemble is seeking new works of experimental music for two to five musicians from our core ensemble: flute, oboe, accordion, harp, percussion, viola, contrabass. Works including cello, conductor, electronics, or voices will also be considered, as will open instrumentation scores. We’re especially eager to discover works that explore new perceptual perspectives and performance practices that may fall outside the norms of contemporary classical music. Traditional notation and graphic, text, audio, and other scoring methods are all welcome. There are no restrictions regarding previous performances of the piece or composers’ age, nationality, etc. There is no fee to submit your work, but please submit only one piece per composer — the one that you think would be a great fit for Ghost Ensemble. Works will be reviewed by Ghost Ensemble and considered for performance in the 2018-2019 season and beyond.
