Details:	Tutor: Marcus Weiss (Coordination) Workshop with selection procedure For participants of the instrumental and composition courses Submission deadline: 3 June 2016 Coordinated by saxophone tutor Marcus Weiss, the Chamber Sessions are offering chamber music experience in the field of New Music for instrumentalists coming to Darmstadt. Registered participants of the Darmstadt composition courses are invited to submit ONE finished and already performed score for 3 to 5 players for the Chamber Sessions by 3 June 2016. By 20 June 2016, a group of tutors will select works from the Call for Scores for the Chamber Sessions. In a second step instrumentalists can inscribe as players for certain parts. Each ad-hoc ensemble will rehearse together with a Summer Course tutor in Darmstadt. The exchange on a concrete score, rehearsal methods, notation and interpretation questions and the cooperation with the composer (if possible) is in the foreground of the Chamber Sessions. PDF files of easily readable performance material of the selected works must be provided by 1 July 2016. A Call for Musicians for this is supposed to be published on 5 July 2016. PLEASE NOTE: Instrumentations of 3 to 5 players are possible and may contain the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, accordion, piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello and double bass. Works with percussion or extensive piano preparations cannot be considered for the Chamber Sessions.
