Details: The Department of Music seeks to appoint a new assistant professor with specialism in the field of composition. The successful candidate will be expected to provide composition teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, to supervise postgraduate research students, to undertake research in their specialist areas, and to contribute to departmental administration. An ability to work with composition students in a wide range of genres and styles (including contemporary acoustic composition, film composition, electroacoustic composition, and pastiche styles) is essential. The successful candidate will be engaged in research activities (whether scholarly or practice-as-research, or both) suitable for REF submission.

Hours of work are full-time; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to job share.
