The Lichfield Festival is looking for young composers across the UK to participate in the first Lichfield Festival Young Composers Award. This is a scheme which we intend to develop annually, promoting young talent in all areas of composition.For this first year of the Award we are looking for composers aged 26 and under to submit new pieces of work for Youth Choirs to perform. The winning entries will be rehearsed by local youth choirs and performed as part of a showcase event at Lichfield Cathedral during the 2015 Festival in July.
