The Southern Cathedrals Festival Chichester 2013 invites composers to submit entries for a composition competition. The Pallant Charitable Trust Prize Competition is supported by the Pallant Charitable Trust which is providing generous cash prizes of £1,000, £500 and £300, as well as funds for the promotion of the competition. Six short-listed entries will be performed in public on Saturday 20 July 2013 at St Paul’s Church, Chichester as part of the Southern Cathedrals Festival. The performers will be the West Sussex County Youth Choir with the Girl Choristers of Salisbury and Winchester Cathedrals, conducted and accompanied by the Assistant Directors of Music of Salisbury and Winchester Cathedrals. The successful composers will be invited to attend this concert and to take part in a discussion of their works with James MacMillan, who will be the judge for the final. |
