New Artistic Director for Huddersfield FestivalGraham McKenzie has been appointed as the new artistic director and chief executive of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, starting Jan 06.
This year’s festival, currently running (17-27 November), has been programmed by guest artistic director, Guardian chief music critic and presenter of BBC Radio 3’s Music Matters, Tom Service, after their previous artistic director, Susanna Eastburn resigned last year.
It is hoped the appointment will end a period of some uncertainty at the festival.
