Max: concerts celebrating Peter Maxwell Davies, 17- 30 April 2005

A series of concerts and opera to celebrate the music of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, including:

Psappha
17 April, Queen Elizabeth Hall, 7.45pm
Conducted by Nicholas Kok, a blend of dance, cello and song

A Study Afternoon takes place on SSunday 17 April from 2-5pm at the South Bank Centre.

String Quartet Day is on 19 April, when the Maggini Quartet performs the final movements of Max's Naxos Quartet No 1 followed by a Masterclass with Max.

Endymion, 20 April at the South Bank Centre

and Max's Antechrist, Revelation and Fall, Blind Man's Buff and De Assumtione Beatae, conducted by Oliver Knussen with the London Sinfonietta, Friday 22 April at the QE Hall.
