Profile M. L. Daniels has won 6 USA national contests for school orchestras. He has over 100 published compositions for choral, band, string orchestra, full orchestra, brass ensemble, string quartet, solo voice and piano. He taught at Abilene Christian University from 1959 until 1993, and took an early retirement. He moved to Austin, TX where he has time to compose and play golf. He is the composer-in-residence with the Willamson County Symphony Orchestra.
