Profile I`m a classical composer: www.aliceshields.com I received my doctorate in composition from the Columbia University, and have composed eight operas (the latest, Criseyde, was performed by the New York City Opera VOX festival in 2008). I have written several published articles on music, have taught the psychology of music at NYU Faculty of Arts and Sciences (Psychology Dept.) and at Rutgers, and have given lectures on the psychology music for the Santa Fe Opera (2002 and 2003).
