Profile Roydon Tse (b.1991) is an aspiring young composer residing in Edmonton, Alberta. He is currently studying music composition at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

As a musician, he is a DipABRSM accredited piano player and enjoys participating in various ensembles. Mr. Tse began composing at 14, and has since had his music performed by the Slide Rule
Trombone Choir, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and has had music selected for
the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s 2010 Jean Coulthard Readings. He is an active
participant in school and college ensembles and plays the piano, violin and percussion at
a proficient level. He has garnered a number of scholarships and awards including the
coveted RBC Financial Lifeskills scholarship and was chosen as the Edmonton
Symphony’s Young Composer 2008. Most notably, his contribution to the arts in the city
of Edmonton has been recognized by the mayor and was awarded the 2009 Stantec
Youth Artist Award by the Professional Arts Coalition of Edmonton at the 22nd Annual
Mayor’s Celebration of the arts.
