Saturday 29 September
6pm: THE MAKING OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC
Moonlight Symphony Orchestra
David Wordsworth, conductor
Philip Cashian, composer
Presented by the Moonlight Symphony Orchestra, this evening's event is a contemporary music workshop, taking a look at 20th and 21st century music-making, techniques and innovations. Philip Cashian and the Moonlight Symphony Orchestra under their conductor David Wordsworth will discuss and deconstruct a series of works in progress by selected composers – a fascinating opportunity to observe the creative process in action. Following tonight’s event, the composers will complete the works, which will be performed in full at a concert at St James’s on 2 November.
