On Friday, March 23rd Brooklyn Art Song Society (BASS) presents the 8th installment of its acclaimed new music series In Context. This seasons featured composer is Harold Meltzer, one of the most notable living American composers. Two contemporary masterpieces and a world premiere by Mr. Metlzer are paired alongside works that inspired the composer by Holst, Schumann, and Wolf. BASS favorites soprano Laura Strickling and tenor Dominic Armstrong join mezzo soprano Abbey Fischer in her BASS debut. Mr. Meltzer gives a free pre-concert lecture on his works at 7:00PM
