The LA Phil’s Green Umbrella concert series has created a legion of fans for contemporary classical music in Los Angeles. Now it comes to London as Gustavo Dudamel conducts a major new work from the pen of Unsuk Chin, one of the most fascinating and evocative composers alive. Her music is sensuous, enchanting and constantly surprising – combining an extraordinary facility for orchestral colour with a firm capacity for orchestral organization. Gustavo Dudamel conducts his own orchestra in the European premiere of a major new work from this truly international talent.
