Embracing Eternity: The Octandre Ensemble plays Scelsi, Mason and Radulescu

Leighton House Museum, London
12 Holland Park Road, London, W14 8LZ
United Kingdom

Members of The Octandre Ensemble: Aisha Orazbayeva (violin), Corentin Chassard (cello), Audrey Milheres (flute), Joseph Houston (piano), vocalists Sarah Dacey and Cathy Bell.

The Octandre Ensemble presents an evening of intensely meditative music, in one of the most remarkable buildings of the 19th Century. The opulent surroundings of Leighton House Museum provide an ideal setting for intimate solo and duo works by Giacinto Scelsi and Christian Mason, alongside a rare performance of Horatiu Radulescu's visceral Cello Sonata, Exil intérieur. Starting in the world famous Arab Hall, this ritualistic concert offers a unique experience, both primal and transcendent. Refreshments will be served, making this an evening rich in sounds, sights, aromas and flavours not to be missed.
