The Pro UN Ensemble & Chorus

The Pro UN Ensemble & Chorus will celebrate a special event for hope at The Gabarron – Carriage House Center for the Arts one day before performing at the IV Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the United Nations’ Headquarters in New York City. The concert will be conducted by Pascual Osa, Lead Conductor and Director of Orquesta Filarmonia in Madrid. The Pro UN Ensemble & Chorus integrates a 20 musician orchestra, a choir of 30 singers and two soloists – soprano and tenor – from various countries. They will perform a mixed program, which includes “Spes – A Hymn to Hope”, composed by Pablo Peláez. This hymn has been dedicated by its composer to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities with the aim to promote and raise awareness of the principles and the values of this advanced international treaty.
