Noisy Nights is fun, free and your chance to listen to (and compose for!) some of the best musicians in Scotland. Noisy Nights is a place to meet music-lovers, curious minds, musicians, composers and artists in an informal space where you can hear some of the best examples of brand new music while having a beer. All sorts of music are welcomed here - as are all sorts of listeners.

The instruments for this Noisy Night will be Harpsichord, Baroque ‘cello and recorder. New music submitted by composers from around the world responding to our Call for Scores, a couple of very old Scottish premieres, and the winner of the night’s 10-minute Composing Challenge will be performed.

What is the 10 Minute Composing Challenge? It's your chance to write an "instant piece" and get it played on the night. During the interval we will hand out manuscript paper for you to write your own piece in 10 minutes - and at the end of the interval we'll select the one we think is best and perform it there and then. Instant music!
