Radical Alchemies showcases the multi-genre work of new music ensemble Trio Atem. The programme runs the gamut of possibilities in sound & performance for the ensemble, including: acoustic and electroacoustic commissions by some of the UK's most exciting young composers; temA - a classic work from 1968 by elder statesman of contemporary music Helmut Lachenmann; & the evening will also include spatialised performances of new ‘hypergraphic' scores from The Alchemy Collection by visual & performance artist Michael Mayhew, a radical and vibrant evolution of the graphic score form.
