Cantata Singers continues its composer-centric season with two consecutive evening concerts showcasing Ralph Vaughan Williams, arguably the most beloved of all 20th century English composers. Complemented by two of Vaughan Williams’ more deceptive works, Flos Campi (1925) and Concerto in A minor for Oboe and Strings (1944), the program features a vast vocal repertoire including the world premiere of Give Thanks for All Things, commissioned by Cantata Singers, by Pulitzer Prize winner Yehudi Wyner; On the Beach at Night (1949) by Andrew Imbrie; and The Choral New Yorker (1944) by Boston native Irving Fine.
Performances Friday, November 5th and Saturday, November 6th at 8pm.
