PLUG Festival Opening Concert: ICEBREAKER

Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama

Scotland

ICEBREAKER

Icebreaker has been one of the beating hearts of new music for twenty years, and so it is a great pleasure to welcome them to the RSAMD for the first time to open this year’s PLUG festival.

PLUG, the RSAMD’s festival dedicated to new student composition, is now in its fourth year, and continues to grow and evolve. Fifty-four premieres, 20 Sequenzas, Icebreaker and around 30 young Academy composers all in the one place at the one time for the RSAMD’s annual contemporary music festival, PLUG.

(PLUG is from 27th April till 1st May)

Steve Forman : Tonight's Episode: The Crunch
Colin Broom : BLEED
John De Simone : Anti-Hero Fantasy
Alan MacDermid : Sequenza II (piccolo)
Chris Duncan : Waking Step Falling Wall
Gordon McPherson : The Baby Bear's Bed
