The 2008 season of the Alvarez Chamber Orchestra, launched at the Polish Embassy in January, will concentrate on British and Polish Music and two important composers who are celebrating significant birthdays: Diana Burrell will be 60, and Zygmunt Krauze, 70. Maestro Zygmunt Krauze has generously offered to play the piano parts in his works and support the orchestra by becoming its honorary vice president in 2007. Earlier this year his was awarded the Legion of Honour for his contribution to French culture.
