In their second Prom this season, Ilan Volkov and the BBC Scottish Symphony perform Sibelius's Third Symphony - one of the first works composed at the composer's lakeside refuge north of Helsinki - before the UK premiere of Hans Abrahamsen's Four Pieces for Orchestra. The outstanding Brazilian pianist Nelson Freire joins them in Brahms's stirring Second Piano Concerto.
