Viktoria Mullova violin

The Cheltenham Festival opens with an exceptional concert
under the baton of our new Artistic Director,
Martyn Brabbins. A new work from the CBSO’s
Composer in Association, Julian Anderson is
followed by the expressive intensity of Bartók’s
luminous, Bach-influenced second violin concerto –
performed by the inimitable Viktoria Mullova –
and the other-worldly force of Tchaikovsky’s tragic,
confessional Manfred Symphony.
