The tenth Strathclyde Concerto, played here by the young musicians of the Purcell School,
is a concerto for orchestra, designed to highlight the skills of every performer. Songs of Hoy was written for the children of Hoy in Orkney. It will be performed alongside a new set of songs written in an education project facilitated by composer Ian McQueen.
