Op. 24 Chamber Symphony for 9 Sustained Instruments and Percussion (1971) - Martin Grayson

Description

This is a chamber symphony which uses clarinets in Eb and Bb, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, 1 percussion player, and string soloists on violin, viola and cello. It is written in an atonal style but is rather fun to play and would suit a college ensemble wanting a bit of a challenge. A full set of playing parts can be downloaded from IMSLP and there is another set of slightly better formatted parts on the Werner Icking site. (Every other time it is played I see something to make clearer in the parts.)
