This compact piece for alto flute is a tribute to the saxophonist/flautist/bass clarinettist, Eric Dolphy and attempts to fuse some of his improvisational style with my own compositional language. A number of his own compositions creep in to the music from time to time, while the opening figures are based on the first solo passages he performed on his last ever concert, just days before his untimely death.
