Details: Applications are now opened for another artistic and professional development workshop for early-career composers of any age in Vienna. The scheme welcomes composers from a wide range of musical approaches and backgrounds.

Opportunity to work with the Viennese Moonlight Symphony Orchestra towards a solo newly composed 4-minute piece for a String Orchestra (3:3:2:2:1) in a 1 day workshop held in Vienna. Every composer involved in the workshop will be given the opportunity to conduct their own piece during the performance.

Professional Development Session and Competition Workshop
Workshops 29th of September 2019 followed by the Traditional Concert series at the Musikverein in Vienna.

Location: Musikeverein Vienna
The workshops will be a supportive environment for developing your work with our Viennese Orchestra made up of young performers of the orchestra.

We strive to develop the creative, technical and stylistic skills for composers through a program of tailored compositional briefs, mentoring from renowned professionals, rehearsals, recordings, and public performance opportunities. The HUB will be led by Prof.Mag. Dirk D’Ase from Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna and Isolda Da Costa Soares, Artistic Music Director Moonlight Symphony Orchestra.

Applications are now open with a closing date 31st of July 2019.
Prizes:
• The winning Composers will be offered a commission to write new music for the Symphony Orchestra and to join the newly elected members of the Residency Program with the Orchestra for the season 2019/2020.
