The Ensemble Impronta is pleased to announce its 1st Composition Competition 2019. Composers of any age and nationality, are encouraged to submit works for any combination of the following instrumentation, ranging from solo to the whole ensemble: piano, clarinet, string quartet (2 violins, viola and cello) no doublings allowed There is no style restriction; we consider the quality of imagination and musical invention. Any composer is eligible, regardless of age and nationality. Each work must not be longer than 10 minutes. There is no minimum duration. The submitted pieces can be already performed but not previously published. Deadline: 15th May 2019 (23:59 Berlin time) PRIZES I: 1.000 EUR + publication of the piece by Impronta-Edition + performance II: 500 EUR + publication of the piece by Impronta-Edition + performance Special Prizes 2 Scholarships of 200 EUR each to take part to the SHE LIVES Master Class in composition in Budapest as active student Antonio Perilli Prize: 200 EUR + publication of the piece by Impronta-Edition + performance Edition Prize: Publication of the piece by Impronta-Edition + performance The Antonio Perilli Prize will be awarded in memory of Antonio Perilli. Performances of the winning pieces will be part of the concert seasons 2019/2020 of Impronta Ensemble. The Publication on Impronta-Edition is voluntary for the composer. All candidates taking part to the competition have a 10% discount on the fee as active student of SHE LIVES Master Class in composition in Budapest. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES There is an entry fee of 50 EUR for the first work. Additional entries may be submitted for 25 EUR each. Each composer can submit up to 5 works. Those who apply within the 15th May 2019 to the SHE LIVES Master Class have the right to access to the competition without paying the competition fee for the first work sent. If the partecipant wishes to send more then one work it should be corresponded 25 EUR per each additional work, up to 5 works maximum (including the score sent for the Master Class).
