• The Interdisciplinary Centre for Composition and Technology (ICCaT) and the Department of Music at the University of Liverpool present a concert of digitally-mediated works and improvisations as part of the annual Open Circuit Festival. We invite submissions for dynamic audiovisual scores that guide the production of sound & music. The featured ensemble for Interactive Traces 2019 will be the Ligeti Quartet. Works that meet the following criteria will be prioritized: • utilizes the featured instrumentation (2 violins, viola, cello) • consists of digital visual media, which is ideally made visible to the audience • involves performer agency (e.g. game-like elements and/or goals) The concert will take place at The Hub in the Department of Music at the University of Liverpool on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Attendance at the event (and rehearsal on March 15) is expected, and some funding is available to assist with travel costs. This funding is available in part by a contribution from the TENOR Network.
