Details: OPEN CALL FOR THE 11TH COMPETITION !

The Swiss organization pre-art announces its 11th consecutive call for scores by composers of the nations in which it has been active over the last 18 years. The organization’s aim consists in finding young composers in order to promote them in an international context. By this we hope to support the exchange within southeastern Europe, the Caucasian and Central Asian region and Switzerland and thereby to overcome regional and national differences.
The competition is open to composers from the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kirgistan, Kosova, Macedonia, Moldavia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Age limite: 30 (born 1988 or later)

We call for an ensemble composition written for a choice of no fewer than 5 of the following instruments:
flute*, oboe*, saxophone*, cello, double bass (5-strings), concert accordion, and piano.
The pieces might NOT be conducted.

*possible doubling instruments: piccolo, alto flute in G; Cor Anglais; Soprano, Alto or Tenor saxophone

Duration of the composition: 5-10 minutes

The composition must not have been performed in any form. Every participant is allowed to apply with one composition only. Former first-prize-winners of the pre-art competition are excluded.

Awards: 6.000 CHF (global amount);
All awarded compositions will be performed by the pre-art soloist during 2019

The score must be sent together with its performing parts to the contact address no later than 31st of August 2018 by email as a pdf-file without indication of the composer’s name. Each application must include a short biography, a scan of the passport/ID-card, with exact date and location of birth, postal and Email-address. Each application will be answered within a few days. Please take contact again if you don’t get any message.
