We are holding a competition to select a composer to write a brand new work for choir and orchestra, for first performance by the choir in 2019. The piece will be 15-20 minutes long with orchestral accompaniment and be based on a text to be selected by the composer from five chosen by the choir. The competition is open to all UK and foreign nationals resident in the UK and there is no age limit. The prize will be awarded on the basis of entrants’ previous compositions and their vision for the new work. CLOSING DATE The closing date for entrants to send previous compositions and their vision for the new work is 30 November 2017.
