Saturday 18th February. 10.20 - 19.15 Lighthouse, Poole An invitation welcoming all composers to join Mark-Anthony Turnage and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for a day of composition workshops, discussions and networking at Lighthouse, Poole. Following a nationwide call for scores, the BSO and Kokoro (BSO’s new music ensemble) will perform the successfully chosen works. Discussions will be led by Mark-Anthony Turnage, an English composer of truly international stature. Talk to BSO musicians to discuss writing for their instrument, discuss publishing new work with Sally Groves, ex-creative director of Schott Music, and Dan Goren, founding director of Composers Edition, chat to BSO Development to find out more about grants and funding for composers and have all your notation software questions answered by a BSO librarian. |
