Registrations for the new San Fedele Prize 2017 are open. The Prize will refer to the symphonic music of Anton Bruckner, a rich and unsuspected source of inspiration for composers of electronic music because of Bruckner’s compositional processes (particularly the slow harmonic developments, the emphasis on the dynamics and crescendos, the repetition and sound amplification of the sequences, ecc.) and for religious evocation of his symphonies that transcends the musical aspect. The Prize is open to young composers/performers from various fields of electronic music (composers, sound designers, soundscapist, dj, audiovisual artists, formations Laptop Music, Communities of Live Coding or Network Music...) using analog and/or digital machines, residents in Italy and Europe born after the first of January 1982. Through the Prize, the Cultural Foundation San Fedele in Milan aims to promote the production of new musical quality live performances, in various areas of electronic music (also with audiovisual interaction) in a half-year path from January to June 2017 to enable young authors / performers participants to gain musical, human, thoughtful and professional experience that will lead them to present the final work in the fall of 2017 in the context of INNER_SPACES, the Electronic Music season of San Fedele Musica with Acusmonium Sator. Participation in the San Fedele Prize is free. Will participate in the competition the young composers and performers born after 1 January 1982.
