Details: ANOUNCEMENT
The Universal School of Vienna announces the “Third Viennese School Composition Competition 2016”. The competition seeks to promote and recognize emerging composers who are inspired and interested in the Universal Music Theory.

ELIGIBILITY
This competition is open to all.
There is no restriction on the number of entries each participant can submit.

PRIZE
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
All finalists receive a Certificate of Merit in recognition of their outstanding works.

FEE
There is no fee to enter this competition.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINE
1) Works must be inspired in the Universal Music Theory by German Margon.
2) Works must be new, original and accessible.
3) Works should be 1 minute in duration.
4) All instruments are allowed.
5) The submitted work must have had no prior public performances.
6) Interested composers should submit the application form.
7) Upload your music to Youtube with the following references:
• Title and author.
• Hashtag: #composingthefuture

JURY
The jury decision, once taken, will be irrevocable. The jury reserves the right to not award all of the prizes or any prizes. By participating in the competition, the composer accepts the present rules. In case of violation of these rules, the organizer reserves the right to exclude the participant without any possible appeal.

DEADLINE
The closing date for submissions of finished works is Friday 16 December 2016. The result will be announced Saturday 24 December 2016.
