 Musician/Composer, Trikhon Theatre
Summary:Theatre seeks composer
Deadline: 26 May 2016
Date Posted: 11 May 2016
Details: We are on the hunt for a talented musician with strong composition skills and sound design qualities. The live music is a key part to the performance and so they must be able to bring a story telling element to their sound and be willing to collaborate in developing the music. We are looking for someone that is experimental, versatile and playful in the rehearsal process. Someone that can suggest ideas, be responsive in the rehearsal room and has strong initiative, being able to anticipate what the performance might require. Reliability is key as they will be responsible for delivering the sound design on time.

Arts and crafts facilitation skills and experience working with children is preferable, however if you haven’t any but are eager and willing to work with children then we encourage you to apply.

Rice Paper Tales is inspired by Tiet Van Nguyen, a Vietnamese story teller of some of the most beautiful, funny and powerful Vietnamese folk tales. Trikhon is looking to provide a uniquely Vietnamese alternative to all-time favourite British Fairy Tales with some classic Vietnamese folk tales.

One performance will consist of three 20 minute stories which will be narrated by a story teller and physically performed by the performer. Each tale will be followed by an Arts and Crafts workshop tailored to fit each story. The workshops will be about an hour long and may be led by the story teller, performer or one of the directors, however everyone will be expected to take part and support.

If you feel you could be a fellow collaborator with Trikhon this year on Rice Paper Tales, we would love to hear from you. Send us your CV and a one-page cover letter of why you would be suitable for this role
