Rules The Competition is open to composers of any nationality. No age limit Compositions for Percussion Instruments are admitted and divided into 5 categories: (°) One or more percussion instruments (*) More than one percussion, voice and electronic instrument may be used. (+) In the case of a winning piece, the compositor undertakes to transcribe the reduction for piano. (#) In all categories, is allowed to use electronics instruments, pre-recorded CD, PC, Tape .... The Compositions must be of the following duration in minutes: Cat. A - ONE Percussionist (°) - (#) Cat. B - DUO Percussion and piano (#) Cat. C - ONE Percussionist and orchestra (+) - (#) Cat. D - from DUO to SEXTET of percussions only (#) Cat. E - from DUO to SEXTET – percussions and other instruments (*) - (#) The orchestral group for Cat. C is the following: 2 flutes (one even piccolo), 2 oboes (one even corn angles), 2 clarinets (one even bass clarinet), 1 saxophone, 2 bassoons (one even double bassoon), 2 horns, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, 1 bass tuba, timpani, 2 percussions, 1 harp, string instruments. A score for an inferior group, string orchestra and wind orchestra, may be presented. Compositions already published are barred from participation in the Competition. Winners first classified, in the same categories, from the previous edition 2015 will not be able to participate. Any recordings on CD may be included with the works. The registration fee for the Competition for all the Categories is 100€ (excluded the tax of the Bank), for the subsequent composition the fee is 70€. The registration fee will in no case be refunded except if the Competition should not be held.
