During Gaudeamus Muziekweek Academy, two workshops will be organised for young composers who would like to write for cello or double bass. How do you write for cello? What is unique about writing for double bass? Composers under 30 years can send in a sketch for one of these instruments before August 1. Those who are selected can take part in workshops which are supervised by cellist Katharina Gross and double bass player Dario Calderone during Gaudeamus Muziekweek Academy. The composers will get a couple of days after the workshop to tinker with their sketches, after which they will work on the sketches with Gross or Calderone during the Reading Sessions on September 7 and 8. |
