1) The Association “Enotria Brutia Classica” announces the first edition of the International Composition Competition “A.Rendano”. The competition is open to composers of all nationalities, born from 1 January 1974 and is divided into two phases. 2) Participants will be required to submit by 10 September 2014 the score of a Chamber composition that already exists, n°7 copies with up to 16 players; the application must be accompanied by the following documents: · an already existing organic score up to 16 players, included voices; · a biography of the candidate; · a copy of an identity document certifying nationality and date of birth; · an email address for messages related to the competition; · a recording of the score posted (optional), *mp3 format; · receipt of payment of the entry fee to the competition (no refundable) of €50,00. 3) In the period 11 September – 30 September 2014 a jury will select the composers to whom will be sent new commissions specially written for the final phase in world première, as follows: • 5 Commissions (finalists of the competition) for Chamber Orchestra with a duration of between 7 and 10 minutes with a minimum of organic items 7 to 11 items selected from the following : flute (also Piccolo), clarinet Bb (also bass clarinet) trumpet, bassoon, violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, harp, percussion; • 2 Commissions (finalists of the competition) for Trio, with a duration between 3 and 7 minutes with the following organic: flute (also flute in sol), clarinet Bb ( also bass clarinet), vibraphone. Communication to selected composers will be given personally by email and will be indicated on the internet site www.enotriabrutiaclassica.com by 10 October 2014. Selected composers must submit an original score with the instrumental parts by 1 February 2015 (the date of the postmark won’t serve as proof) with consent to recording radio or television, publications and record the live stream. The composers will be invited to the first performance and a day of rehearsals, and meetings the 21 - 22 February 2015, at organization expenses (travel excluded). |
