The Armenian Little Singers International Association is organizing an international competition (ACCC) for choral compositions with or without piano accompaniment for the “Little Singers of Armenia” advanced children's choir (S, S, A or S, S, A, A - for 3 or 4 voices) with the aim of promoting the creation of a new choral repertoire. The participation is open to composers from any country; age should be over 20 years. Duration must be 3-4 minutes. Arrangements are not accepted. Submission of the PDF version of the score is accepted only by email alsccc@hotmail.com by the 15th of December, 2013. Each score should contain a statement written by the composer declaring that the submitted score is unpublished, has never been performed before and is written for the purposes of this competition. The languages accepted are Latin, Armenian, English, German, Italian and French. Translation in English is required for the lyrics. The lyrics should be in their original language (not translated). Personal information should be indicated in the application ONLY, and NOT on the scores. The scores should be anonymous. Only the title of the composition should be mentioned on the score and the 9 digit code. The 9 digit code is created by the composer, should be mentioned on the score and the application. Please fill out the application form below, and make the payment. The entry fee is 30 USD. The scores will be sent to the jury members only after the fee is received. Please attach the receipt with the score. The judgment is made up of two steps: International experts will grade the scores. The highest scored 3 compositions will be announced on the 1st of February, 2014 The Little Singers of Armenia choir will perform the 3 compositions on the 30th of April in Yerevan and two winners will be chosen. The winners will be announced on the 5th of May, 2014 The first prize $800 and performances of the composition during the ALS choir’s tour in Europe, May-June of 2014 The second prize $500 and performances of the composition during the ALS choir’s tour in Europe, May-June of 2014 10. The author of the third composition will have the title of Finalist of the “ALS choral competition 2014”. This composition will be performed by the “Little Singers of Armenia” choir occasionally. 11. Each person may submit only one composition. |
