$250 prize, a performance of the winning work, and a recording

Objective
To encourage and offer an orchestral performance opportunity for talented composers who are currently pursuing (or have recently completed) a music degree in Missouri, or any state contiguous to Missouri.

Eligibility Requirements
The competition is open to:
-Music students who are currently working on a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in music in Missouri, or any state contiguous to Missouri.
-Composers who have recently completed a music degree from a School of Music/Conservatory in Missouri, or any state contiguous to Missouri (anytime in 2011 or later).
-Past winners of the competition are not eligible.
-Submitted work must not have been performed, therefore qualifying for a world premiere.
