How to Apply: This competition is a blind selection for the ensemble members. Please send an email to concertofmillennials@gmail.com to receive a number that will go on your score. Your name should not appear on the score. Who: Compositions from composers aged 15-30 as of December 31, 2012 OR who are currently enrolled in a college or university. You must currently reside in the United States. What: Music written for a small ensemble with any combination of the following instruments: 2 violins, viola, cello, and piano. Music must be written within the last five years and never performed live or published. Music must be under twenty minutes. Music must be of medium difficulty for excellent performers. It must be playable on the above mentioned instruments. Scores must be in sibelius or finale. Scores must be sent via email in PDF format. Technology, tapes ect, may be used in the piece. When: Deadline for submission of scores: received before December 31, 2012 12 midnight. Notification: Feb. 1, 2013 Concert: July 2013 (TBD) |
