Job Description : The University of California, San Diego Department of Music ( seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position in computer music, at the rank of Assistant Professor. Areas of interest could include novel computational methods in music creation such as but not limited to: musical signal processing; acoustics, psychoacoustics, or musical cognition; computer models of musical structures; human-computer interfaces in musical performance or composition; artificial intelligence in music; sound design; performance, production, or dissemination.

Responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels including supervising Ph.D. dissertations, engaging in computer music research, and participating in the creative life of the Department. Applicants should submit a letter of intent, a curriculum vitae, documentation of research, creative or professional activity, a statement of contributions to diversity, and three letters of reference.
