Job Description : The University of California, San Diego Department of Music (http://musicweb.ucsd.edu/) seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position in computer music, at the rank of Assistant Professor. Areas of interest could include novel computational methods in music creation such as but not limited to: musical signal processing; acoustics, psychoacoustics, or musical cognition; computer models of musical structures; human-computer interfaces in musical performance or composition; artificial intelligence in music; sound design; performance, production, or dissemination. Responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels including supervising Ph.D. dissertations, engaging in computer music research, and participating in the creative life of the Department.
