Jim Perkins is a London based composer, arranger and producer who specializes in combining acoustic instruments with electronic and digital sounds. He has worked in the music industry as a freelance composer for 3 years producing contemporary works for sound to picture. Jim is currently working on a series of short pieces for piano and small chamber ensemble. His work is influenced by the classical harmony and arrangement of composers such as Debussy, Satie, Messiaen, Reich and Glass and the production values of electronic artists such as Fennesz, Matmos, Schneider TM and The Books.
